[영어로 보는 골프유머]“더 크게 만들어 주세요” (Leprechaun)

한 골퍼가 아일랜드의 골프코스에서 ‘홀인원’을 했다.

(A golfer was on vacation in Ireland and while playing he made a hole-in-one.)

작은 요정 ‘레프러콘’이 나무에서 뛰어 나와 “나는 13번째 홀의 행운의 레프러콘입니다. 소원을 말해보세요”라고 말했다.

(With that a leprechaun jumps out from the trees and says, "I am the lucky leprechaun of the 13th hole. I'll grant you any wish.")

그는 잠시 생각하더니 “내 ‘물건’을 크게 만들어 줄 수 있니?”라고 했다.

(The player thought a bit and said, "Could you make me weeny a bit larger" )

레프러콘이 물건을 너무 키워 그는 18번째 홀에서 움직이기조차 힘들었다.

(By the 18th he could hardly make it to the green.)

그는 13번째 홀로 돌아와 다시 홀인원을 했다.

(He made his way back to the 13th and finally he made the hole-in-one.)

레프러콘이 다시 나타나자 그는 “이번에는 내 다리를 길게 해줘봐”라고 말했다.

(Again the leprechaun offered any wish. The player asked, "Could you make me legs a bit longer?)
